Use a simulator
CRCC strongly recommends the purchase of flight sim software. This has been proven to significantly reduce time to solo. Practice in a simulator to build fundamental skills. While simulators don't perfectly model the physics of real flight, they can help you learn how to fly while significantly reducing crashes. It will pay for itself.

Learn from experienced pilots
Pay attention to common mistakes, such as over-controlling or flying too far away from yourself. We’ll go over all that stuff during your flight training at the field. This can be a very expensive hobby to try and learn on your own. Crashing your $500 airplane does not have to be part of learning.
